Dear OC
Following the enforced cancellation of the 2020 Over 70s Reunion, we are happy to announce a provisional date for this event in 2021. The format will remain the same as previous years, with the School kindly providing the usual generous hospitality and the Headmaster Martin Reader keeping you up to date with the developments and achievements of the School for the last several years.
The aim remains the same, to meet as many old friends as possible and perhaps one or two OCs you have not seen for a while. If you know someone who has not been before, please encourage them to join us, they can be sure of a warm OC welcome and everyone who will be 70 or over on the 23rd October is welcome to attend. Wives are an integral part of the day and are very welcome as would be any family members who might be acting as chauffeur.
Programme (provisional until we know the situation nearer the time):
11:30am Coffee/Bar in the Reading Room and The Library (New venue for this!)
1:00pm Buffet Lunch in the Dining Hall where wine will be served.
After Lunch Mike Payne has kindly agreed to give a School Tour and tea will be available in the Reading Room.
As the School generously host the day, we ask you to make a minimum contribution of £20 which goes towards supporting the Cranleigh Foundation Bursary Fund. These Bursaries are confidentially given to children who have experienced a family trauma or bereavement and whom the Foundation decide would benefit from a boarding education in the School's supportive environment. I am sure that you agree that this is an appropriate Fund for us to support. Should you wish to increase your donation, the Foundation would, of course, be delighted. If applicable, Gift Aid can be claimed and forms will be sent with your invitation, or available on the day.
Vickie Ingle, OCS and Cranleigh Network Manager, will be handling the applications and will be in touch nearer the time with details, but in the meantime please do register your interest here and she will make sure you are on the invitation list.
