The Cranleigh Network is an exciting collaboration between the OCS and the School.
It is a Careers for Life programme which is intended to help Old Cranleighans with practical support and resources throughout their careers, from school to university, into employment and through career change.
In addition to this dedicated online site for the Old Cranleighan Society, in January 2020 an online portal for a wider Cranleigh Network went live that is open to parents of current and former pupils, current and former members of staff, pupils from Cranleigh China, and of course Old Cranleighans. If you wish to remain as a mentor or find a mentor, offer jobs and work experience solely within the Old Cranleighan community then there is nothing that you need to do.
If you would like access to the wider Cranleigh Network then click on the button below to take you directly to the site where the same log-in that you have for this site will allow you access to that one. If you are happy to be a mentor to the wider Cranleigh Network please select that option in the Volunteer to help panel below and on your profile page.
Many Old Cranleighans have kindly offered their time and expertise in the form of careers guidance for others. Use these search boxes to find an Old Cranleighan who might be able to offer the kind of careers help that you are looking for. This could be becoming your mentor, helping with interview preparation, reviewing a CV or answering some questions about the industry or career that you are interested in.

OC Surveyors’ Club
Paul Jackson, 39 St James’s Street, London SW1A 1JD
020 7408 1067 (office)
jackson@victorylanduk.com

The OC Surveyor’s Society was formed some 40 years ago and I have been running it for the last 20 years or so.

The Society is open to all OC’s in the Property Business whether in the Commercial or Residential sectors. We have now in excess of 180 members and we meet annually for a reasonably priced buffet lunch in the West End of London.

The Property World is very much a contact business and the purpose of the Society is for OC’s to network which is something a computer cannot do! As important, the other purpose of the Society is to support those OCs looking for work while starting out in the profession or merely looking to improve their circumstances.

Join here and you should receive approval within a couple of days, however if you don't please contact vli@cranleigh.org and she will ensure you are put in touch.

In 2013 the name was changed to become the OC TMT (Technology, Media & Telecommunications) Society.

The key objectives of the society are to create an environment that will facilitate networking opportunities between members in an informal environment and also provide opportunities for recent graduates interested in a career in the media to meet experienced media professionals. As the media industry continues to rapidly evolve, the society is open to professionals of all media platforms, be it digital media, television, film, advertising, radio or the printed word.

The society hosts regular events roughly 1-2 times a year which will involve talks from influential OC’s working in the media and opportunities for all members to mix and network.

The success of the society inevitably depends on the effort and ideas that the members are willing put in to the society, and as a result, the society has a burgeoning online community on LinkedIn, which provides good opportunities for members to get in contact with other OC’s. This group page is also a very useful opportunity for members to post job and internship opportunities. The group can be found at http://linkd.in/ocmedia.

If you are interested in joining the society, please get in contact with Alex Blundell, Duncan Miller or James Washer at ocmediasociety@gmail.com.

The Old Cranleighan Lawyers’ Society (“OCLS”) is exactly what it says on its metaphorical tin: a society of Old Cranelighans who work in the legal field. The objective of the OCLS is to act as a fun and informal forum for OC lawyers to meet up with each other annually and generally in London. It is also hoped that the OCLS will be beneficial to new graduates interested in the law by facilitating opportunities to meet experienced lawyers in an informal environment.

The OCLS has over 80 members, but we would love to see it grow further and welcome new members, whether qualified or aspiring lawyers in training. Any OCs who wish to join the OCLS, or would like to attend its next event, should contact Alexi Dimitriou at alexigdimitriou@googlemail.com. You can also search for the “Old Cranleighan Lawyers’ Society” group on the LinkedIn website and request to become a member.

To qualify for Club membership you must have served or currently be serving in HM Armed Forces, this can include National Service if applicable.
