FREE teatime concerts suitable for younger audiences

Since the release of their first album in 2012, Emilia Lajunen and Suvi Oskala have toured extensively within Finland and across Scandinavia, the UK, South Korea and India.  The duo performs arrangements of traditional folk melodies with a refreshing, strong individual voice, using acoustic five-string fiddles.  These versatile instruments enable the ensemble to access a wide palette of sounds, from delicate to rich, and the music is characterised by an exciting rhythmic drive.  This concert also features string players from Cranleigh Prep and Senior Schools, and showcases the fruits of their workshop collaborations with the duo.
