Mentors |
The concept is straightforward: over 10 weeks, 16 teams (eight students per team), with a £150 investment each will compete to design, market, and launch a profitable business that addresses a genuine need.
Cran.do has been carefully designed to suit the needs of our school, focusing on the development of key employability skills, presentation techniques, public speaking and most importantly practical business experience.
The challenge also prioritises cognitive diversity, inclusion, and belonging, ensuring that each team is a blend of different personality types, houses, and genders. Students will receive coaching in self-awareness, active listening, and adaptability to enhance their teamwork.
We’re thrilled to welcome a group of young OC mentors who will guide the teams and collaborate with staff to help participants maximise this valuable opportunity. Old Cranleighan, Max Jones (East 2023), who has been mentored by Dragon’s Den star, Steven Bartlett, was instrumental in launching cran.do to both pupils and parents, giving the initiative his full endorsement. Stay tuned for updates on how the teams are progressing.
