π Future Proof Cranleigh: Invest Your Expertise in the Next Generation!
At Cranleigh, we believe our greatest asset is our pupils. We are building a vibrant culture where OCs share their knowledge, experience, and insight to help shape the next generation and keep our school thriving!
We warmly invite you to get involved in our exciting volunteering opportunities below. Your contribution is key to strengthening our Futures provision and positioning Cranleigh at the cutting edge of education.
1. πΌ CAREERS CONFERENCE AND EXHIBITION
ποΈ Monday, 9th February 2026 (From 15:30 onwards)
The Goal: Help us re-instate this crucial, whole-school event in our Futures Calendar.
Who We Need: Industry Speakers: OCs prepared to discuss their industry, role, and career journey in a dedicated breakout session.
Organisations: Businesses/firms to host an exhibition stand, especially those with an early careers team.
2. π‘ CRANDO MENTORS: The Entrepreneurial Challenge
ποΈ January – March 2026 (Max. 3.5 hours total)
The Challenge: Lower Sixth students receive a £160 investment to "design, market, and launch a profitable business."
Who We Need: OCs with a business background, entrepreneurial experience, or financial/marketing expertise.
Your Role: Serve as a Mentor, guiding ideas and advising on finances. The commitment is a 30-minute online meeting every other week.
Recognition: Mentors are invited to the Black Tie Crando Award Ceremony on 18th March 2026!
3. π FUTURES SKILLS FORUM & OC Dinner
ποΈ Tuesday, 28 April 2026 (Afternoon Event)
The Focus: A collaborative forum addressing one of today's most urgent challenges: How can we close the skills gap and prepare for the future of work?
Who We Need: We welcome both Employers (who hire graduates) and Recent Graduates/Final Year Students.
Your Role: Share your perspectives, contribute ideas, and build connections.
Post Event: Stay afterwards for an OC and Sixth Form networking dinner.
