July 1866

16 Jun 2026

The Summer term rumbled on and the School played two more cricket matches against scratch XIs, winning one and losing one.

Later in the term a summer concert was held, a tradition which continues to this day.

The School’s first  year ended on July 25, 1866 and the boys headed home, most by train, and for many who did not live locally it was the first time they had been home since early January as there had only been a five-day break at Easter.
