OLD CRANLEIGHANS AND CRANLEIGH FRIENDS' CHRISTMAS CAROL SERVICE

9 Dec 2019
OC Activity
The inaugural OC and Cranleigh Friends’ Christmas Carol Service took place on Sunday.

The Chapel looked beautiful and the congregation of around 200 consisted of many OCs as well as former Cranleigh staff and parents of OCs.

The lessons were read by Simon Broadhurst (2&3 South 1997), Rob Curling (West 1975), Cat Staples (Loveday 2001), and parents of OCs Karen Brock and Ros Chesser, as well as Headmaster Martin Reader.

The retiring collection was in aid of the Cranleigh Foundation.

After the service, the congregation gathered in Hall for mulled wine and mince pies and a chance to catch up with old friends.

It is hoped that this lovely event will be the first of a new tradition for OCs and Friends of Cranleigh to gather and kick off the festive season.
