The James' ran Monday to Friday, 25-29 May, during the heatwave! The boys were running to raise money for NHS Charities Together, a charity for NHS staff, volunteers and patients impacted by the COVID-19 crisis.
The running was done late afternoon or early morning to try and avoid the worst of the heat. Three of their half marathons were run along the old railway from Cranleigh, one around Loxwood and the last one round Peaslake. Their best time was on day one at 1hr 53 minutes, not bad given an admitted lack of preparation! At time of writing, including gift aid they have raised almost £1,800.00.
