MARATHON OCs RAISE MORE THAN £15000

Congratulations to all our Old Cranleighans who took part in the 2019 London Marathon.

The first to finish was Felicity Bull (West 2016) who completed the course in an impressive 3:30:56 which we believe may be the fastest time recorded in a marathon by a female OC.

The veteran in the field, Neil Galliford (East 1983), broke the four-hour barrier with a time of  3:56:58, followed by another more recent East boy,  George Macdonald (East 2016) in 4:23:31 with Emilie Subba Row (West 2010) not far behind in a time of 4:37:32. The final OC finisher was Chantelle Phillips (West 2016) in 6:20:14.

Our best wishes go to Will Langmead (East 2010) who was on course for a sub four-hour finish when he collapsed less than three miles from home due to low glucose and dehydration and had to spend the night in A&E.

Please click below for the links to all their sponsorship sites … it’s not too late to contribute!  So far, between them they have raised more than £15,700 for charity.

Felicity Bull – Spinal Injuries Association
Neil Galliford – Dogs For Good
Will Langmead – Lord’s Taverners
George Macdonald – Children With Cancer UK
Chantelle Phillips – NSPCC
Emilie Subba Row – Royal Marsden Cancer Charity
