Human Interest

Thank you so much to everyone who visited the Virtual Cranleigh Christmas Fair website. We hope you managed to find inspiration and gifts for your family and friends. In ten days more than 3,500 shoppers visited the website, raising £5,800 for the Cranleigh Foundation. The Foundation aims to help pupils who have a significant pastoral need, such as losing the support of one or both parents through exceptional or tragic circumstances, and who would benefit from a nurturing boarding environment.

The online grotto doors are now closed for this year, the team is reviewing the performance and having a breather before staring preparation for 2021.

Thanks must go to the Cranleigh Friends office and the Cranleigh Christmas Fair Committee for making a pivot turn from organising the traditional Cranleigh Christmas Fair on the grounds of Cranleigh Preparatory School to a virtual one in fewer than two months. It was an amazing achievement of logistics, entrepreneurship and creativity.
